Each week, a resident at Fabrica is responsible for creating an Instagram post, promoting a specific book in the library. I used a bright green background for my visuals, to contrast the traditional style of Canova’s sculptures. The ‘cut out’ image style reference the carving away at the image, similarly to Canova carving into his materials. The video featured ‘sticker-like’ images piling up, which nods to a modern aesthetic. Scanned images and informative text are used in a playful way to caption and give context to the chosen images.
