United Colors of Benetton’s research centre, Fabrica, offers an artist residency to creatives. A tradition at Fabrica is to capture each group with a monthly portrait. The concept of ‘the back of your head’ was a reference to Fabrica’s ethos of seeing things differently. The bright backdrops contrast the standard white background for official photos. The images were edited, printed, scanned and re-edited. We used this process to create texture in the images. The series was posted online and used on promotional material for Fabrica.
